Pili Collective weaves together culture, creativity, and community to tell stories that connect people and inspire action. Rooted in Hawaiian values of pilina (relationship) and kuleana (responsibility), we craft media that uplifts voices, sparks conversation, and bridges tradition with modern innovation.
ABOUT PILI COLLECTIVE
Our name comes from the Hawaiian word pili — “to cling, join, or connect.” Like pili grass woven into a home, we weave together creativity, culture, and community to strengthen stories.
The most powerful storytelling is not individual, but collective. Born from relationships, rooted in community, and designed to uplift and connect.

Business Manager
Born and raised on the North Shore of Kaua‘i, Kaua Hermosura is a creative storyteller and marketing strategist dedicated to bridging culture, community, and modern media. With experience spanning digital marketing, event coordination, and nonprofit leadership, Kaua brings a thoughtful, place-based approach to every project he takes on.
Through Pili Collective, Kaua offers marketing, media, and storytelling services rooted in authenticity, connection, and culture. Whether building a brand, designing a campaign, or leading a creative strategy, Kaua approaches each project with the same guiding value: pili: to connect and stay grounded in what matters most.
ISABELLA K. AQUINO
Photographer & Videographer
Bella is a visual storyteller from Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi who finds joy in capturing real and honest moments through photography and film. She is drawn to emotion that cannot be staged and loves documenting the movement of life through sports, nature, portraits, and community events. With a background in marketing from Menlo College, she brings together creativity and intention, always choosing to tell a story rather than simply take an image.
At Pili Collective, Bella pours her heart into every project. She pays attention to quiet interactions, the energy of a space, and the way visuals can hold memory and connection. Her work is rooted in culture, care, and love for community, guided by a desire to honor the people and places that shape her which reflects the purpose and heartbeat of Pili Collective.
MIRANDA Y. CANNIFF
Designer & Photographer
Born and raised in Kohala on Hawaiʻi Island, Miranda is rooted in community and nature. With experience in digital marketing, website and UX/UI design, and content creation, she is passionate about intentional storytelling and finding innovative solutions that put people and ʻāina (land) first. As a photographer, she enjoys observing the world around her and capturing candid moments across portraiture, wildlife, and event photography.
Driven by a desire to share the unique stories that shape our world, she partners with businesses across industries to craft thoughtful, creative solutions. Her projects span a variety of sectors, including non-profit, fitness, education, consulting, and youth programs.
